The Kamsarmax HENGTONG PROSPERITY completed her intermediate survey docking at a Zhoushan yard in 21 days against a planned 24, and closed her final account 4.1% below the approved budget.
The scope covered full hull blasting and recoating with a high-solids antifouling system, propeller polishing, installation of a pre-swirl energy saving device, tailshaft inspection, and the replacement of two ballast tank sections identified during the previous attendance.
A project superintendent was resident at the yard for the full docking, with daily cost and progress reporting to the owner. All eleven growth-work items were approved in writing before work commenced.
